Ur-Didact, The Didact
Real Name: Shadow-of-Sundered-Star
Halo 4
This is one ugly fuck

Evil: Wants to destroy humanity
Insanity: Wants to destroy humanity for a war that occurred a very long time ago
Powers: Can beat the crap out of Master Chief
Occupation: Forerunner Commander

Description: A commander of the ancient Forerunner civilization that was reawakened in time for Halo 4 with an army of automata called Prometheans, and had help from a splinter cell of the Covenant called the Storm Covenant. He has fought the Flood during the Forerunner-Flood War. When the Halo Rings were constructed, the Didact was stripped of his political power and sent into exile after opposing the construction of the rings. He tricked John-117 (Master Chief) into releasing him from his prison on Requiem and attempted to lead a genocide against humans. Surprisingly the Didact is much stronger than Master Chief and beat the crap out of him. Fortunately Master Chief was able to plant a pulse grenade on the Didact, wounding him and causing him to fall off the bridge and into space. It is theorized that the Didact may have survived because we don't know what exactly this guy is capable of, plus there is also a likelihood of others like him. Curiously he calls the Sangheili (Elites) primitive, despite they have superior technology to humans yet he speaks to Master Chief as an equal. He is voiced by Keith Szarabajka, who also voiced Dr. Kyne in Dead Space 1 and Harbinger in Mass Effect 2. The end to Halo 4 just depressed me, to the point that I can't even play the campaign again.
