Description: This guy is a sadist in nearly every sense of the word, he has mercenaries abduct villagers so that he can perform experiments in torture and murder in order to obtain an essence called Vitae which can only be acquired through a very painful and slow demise. He was banished from his original home of unknown circumstances and only wishes to return. He is a supernatural being that has taken the guise of various Prussian Barons and has proficiency in magic and sciences. Apparently he is driven mad with love, wanting to return to his home dimension for a lover even if it meant that he had to commit heinous atrocities. Speaking of mercenaries, he locked them all in the wine cellar so that they would drink as much as they could, and tragically since the wine was poisoned they all either imploded or were turned into Gatherers (one fellow felt that he was going to explode, also there was also a Gatherer in the Wine Cellar). He sought the main character Daniel because he heard about the Orb that he recovered, needing that orb for the ritual to go home, he lured Daniel to Castle Brennenburg, Daniel fearing that the Shadow will get him. He then manipulated Daniel into helping him gather Vitae, making him believe that he would be able to stop the Shadow this way. Daniel later realized that he wasn't killing 'murderers' but rather innocents, even a child. Alexander knew that it would only be a matter of time before Daniel would betray him so he stole Daniel's Orb and hid in the Inner Sanctum, while Daniel took an Amnesia Potion for a fresh start. Amnesiac Daniel then wandered through the Castle, being chased by all manners of monsters, mostly hideously deformed servants, the invisible water demon, and the Shadow. In his inner study after the run in with the water demon, he used a bone saw to kill dogs to extract their Vitae. He also chained up one of his old best friends after an apparent betrayal, this friend was Agrippa. If you look at his painting with low sanity, you will see it change into something a little more disturbing. When you finally confront this lunatic, you have some choices of what to do in order to decide his fate and your own. The last room is actually hilarious.... really... for whatever unknown reason Alexander is fully naked - I am not joking, no black box, nothing... but the real question is why? Why is this creep ok with showing off his tiny ass junk to whomever beats this game? In the end, depending on your actions, he is either killed by the Shadow or escapes through the portal.
