Description: This guy...... is one of the greatest villains to have ever existed, even if he wasn't the last boss. Even the guys at IGN recognize this guy as one of the best villains ever and they'll complain about the dumbest shit. This guy may even be more insane than several other villains on our list, because his insanity goes so far as to shatter the fourth wall entirely by telling you what is on your memory card, vibrating your controller, ordering you to put it on the floor and even comments on the frequency of your saves. He wears a gas mask because he strongly believes that people can get into his head if he doesn't. When FOXHOUND revolted against the government, it was Mantis who brainwashed the disloyal soldiers, and he also possessed Meryl and even tried to have her kill Snake and after a little bit, herself. If you encounter Psycho Mantis, and not know what to do, you'll be fucked because Mantis screws around with the controls and console, making you think that the game broke. He can't control you if you shut your mind with complete focus or have some kind of brain implant. Since they could only go so far to simulate this for the player, you simply have to change the controller port to prevent his control over you He appeared again as a ghost in MGS4, and he tried to prove his psychic powers again (which Snake probably doesn't believe in), but unfortunately the PS3 hardware was too much for Mantis and the robot that he controlled blew up. Psycho Mantis claims that he is a better person than Snake, saying that he is pure evil. When he was dying he opened a secret passage for Snake and went to say that this was the first time that he ever helped a person with his powers and it felt "kind of nice". I've seen people make lists of villains on YouTube, and much of the time, Psycho Mantis is among them.

Also he can vibrate controllers. Unfortunately the power of the PS3 was too much for him.
