Description: If I had to make a list of all of the boss fights that I liked, Dark Bowser would be one of them. Dark Bowser is not actually Bowser, it is more of a copy of Bowser. Dark Bowser is powered by the Dark Star, and without it, Dark Bowser is nothing. The Dark Star just seems to harbor an immense amount of hatred on anything that exists. Even though Mario is the hero of the franchise this time around though it was Bowser who saved the day - but he did have help from Mario who defeated Fawful and the Dark Star who were inside Bowser. Dark Bowser has particularly devastating attacks, and Fawful/Dark Star has several as well. I did not find this fight to be particularly hard, but I did find the previous fight with the Dark Star to be rather hard, at least harder than this fight, so really the Dark Star got weaker. His attack pattern consists of throwing boulders, sending armies at you, a giant sphere of dark energy, and growth. For some reason, this is among my favorite boss fights, plus one of my favorite boss themes. Great fight but he had a rather uncreative motivation (it wants to destroy the world but doesn't appear to have a motivation for doing so).
