Description: Gargarensis is the main antagonist of the original strategy game, Age of Mythology (although it was technically Kronos). Gargarensis did not appear in the campaign until after the Siege of Troy levels where he tries to enter Erebus to unlock the Gates of Tartaurus. Gargarensis proves to be a worthy adversary and has a massive army at his command, even owning a seemingly endless supply of citadels and fortresses. I respect Gargarensis for having good military tactics but on a few levels he is nearly impossible to defeat on the hardest difficulty, Titan mode. Although I call him a coward for always slipping away at the last second, I have to hand it to him, he is very good at it. Whenever he gets pissed, his eye glows red and he seems to almost always comes close to impaling the offender with his silver trident. As the son of Poseidon, he was tasked with freeing his grandfather, Kronos with promises of power. In the last level he gains near immortality with an unimaginable health regeneration speed. His onslaughts can prove devastating if one is not prepared, and he is equally adept at defending, especially in the levels where you must control more than one separate force where large scale pincer attacks are necessary to triumph due to the mere viscosity of the defenses. His subordinates are just as crafty but not nearly as strong, Kamos the Pirate, and Kemsyt the Bandit both have large pockets and combined have a pretty sizable force, Kemsyt owning a deceptively large force considering the fact that he is just a mere bandit. Gargarensis is very arrogant and I thought that his death was well deserved, ironic, and somewhat humorous, the irony being that he was impaled by a trident wielded by a statue of his own father that was retrieved in the second level of the game after Kamos lost it to the protagonist and his army. Overall Gargarensis is a brilliant tactician, a power hungry maniac, and even backstabs his own comrades (Kemsyt), and lastly his ambitions got him far but fell short when he got impaled.
