Description: Garland is the first antagonist from the original Final Fantasy and pretty much starts out as a typical evil knight, but that all changed when he created a time loop and became Chaos. Like the vast majority of Final Fantasy villains, Garland is highly arrogant, but his personality wasn't really explored in-depth until the Dissidia games. He loves war like it is a game. After you beat Chaos, the time loop is broken, never even existed, and in the epilogue it states that Garland would be among those waiting for them. It can be implied that since the time loop never existed, Garland may have remained as the benevolent knight that he was once known for. In Dissidia, Garland serves as Chaos's right hand man. There is some evidence from Dissidia that suggests that the events of the original Final Fantasy is intertwined with Dissidia, courtesy of reports written from Garlands point of view, however some facts are contradicted. He is the first boss in the game and as such, is the easiest, also being the only boss first boss until much, much later to be an antagonist His first line in the game sort of became a joke to some people "I, Garland will knock you all down!" and appeared at first to be the mediocre evil knight that kidnaps the princess. Unfortunately, Garland is from an old game, so his story is not very intricate or elaborate so has very little personality to analyze.
